Welcome Message

Dear Partners and colleagues,

As promised we are publishing more frequent editions of our Families First News which are focussing on how our partners are adapting and responding to delivering services during this period. I hope this brings you plenty of useful links and please remember to take a look at our "difference we're making page"

Families First Partnership Meetings

We will be endeavouring to continue with our planned Families First Partnership meetings in each of the districts. We have witnessed how services have successfully transitioned to undertaking meetings virtually and proved that we can continue to support each other during these restricted times. In addition, to support partnership connectivity we are also preparing a district bulletin page for each double district. We start with the St Albans and Dacorum districts with others to be added shortly. In addition, please take a look at our countywide partner updates and if you would like to add any information about your service please email

Families First Practice Guidance

We have developed a practice standards guidance to support Families First Practitioners whilst working in the current Covid19 circumstances. The content of this booklet will be reviewed and updated regularly to reflect the continuing changing picture and is hosted on our Covid-19 page of the FF Portal.

Positive Stories

We are delighted to hear of the many innovative ways of working to support families which are taking place. Please take a look at our good news stories for news of our Intensive Family Support Teams' Lending Library, Activity Packs and Cook in the Bag activities.

We have also kept our key service updates and links to health, financial advice and pages with tips on home schooling, mindfulness and general wellbeing to keeping healthy and active.

Our grants page may also be of interest to your service, please take a look at some of the grants that are being made available during this period.

Please continue to send any articles/messages and good news stories to

Please all stay safe, stay positive and take care.
