Families First News

Front page - Welcome

Welcome to our first newsletter of the new decade!

We start the New Year and new decade with renewed energy to put partnership working across Hertfordshire at the centre of all our work and promote the Families First brand to the public so that the portal becomes the "go to" place to get support and advice for families at the right time.

Families First Facebook

On that note, our Families First Development Team are about to launch a new Facebook page which will be an opportunity for us to connect directly with the public and for partners to link to and use to promote their own service. We are keen to connect to as many families as possible across the County so please "follow us" and share with your families.

Grants and Funding

Following feedback received at our district Partnership group meetings we have set up a central Grants and Funding page on our portal so please take a look at this page which lists National and Hertfordshire grants and should prove a useful resource for all partners.

In addition we have refreshed the Families First Events Calendar, which lists all the Partnership group meetings and HSCP Learning Hub dates and partners can add their own events, which should prove useful when arranging events to check for clashes, etc. So be sure to take a look at this page.

Families First Awards

We are also delighted to announce that our Families First Awards will be taking place again this year and will be hosted at the South Hill Centre in Hemel Hempstead on 6th May 2020. The nomination process will start in February, but for now please note the date and start to consider any nominations you may wish to make.

Families First in North Herts

For all our North Herts services please come along to our community event on Tuesday 25th February at 2pm - 5pm - take a look at the information leaflet here.

Don't forget to visit our Learning and Development pages with dates for the HSCP Learning Hub and other informative training opportunities. Plus also visit our local news pages.

We hope you enjoy the newsletter and find it helpful and encourage your teams to sign up to receive their own copy!

As always, please do let us have your comments and suggestions for what you would like us to include in future editions.

Thank you for reading,

Best wishes from the Families First Development Team
