Trauma Informed Practice Training

Early help plays a crucial part in identifying Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE’s) and to help support families through a trauma informed practice way of working you now have the opportunity to attend a session to promote trauma informed practice organised by Learning Hub Local Forums, HSCP.

We will introduce the science of ACE’s and the potential impact ACEs can have across the life course in terms of social, emotional and physical wellbeing. The session will explore the role of toxic stress and trauma on childhood development and adult life. The session will conclude by focussing on how resilience can offset the impact of adversity and trauma.

This session is designed to provide an introduction to the science of adverse childhood experiences and trauma informed practice, appropriate to a range of roles and professions, which can serve as a solid foundation for further learning and skills acquisition.
