Welcome

Dear Partners,

Welcome to the September edition of Families First News for Hertfordshire's early help professionals.  We hope you all managed to take a break over the summer period and had some time to enjoy the great weather. We have an exciting edition this month, with lots of good initiatives and programmes taking place across the county.

Families First Awards - It's time to get nominating!

We are very excited to announce that the nominations for our 2025 Families First Awards are now open!

These Awards take place every 2 years and they are a time to celebrate all the good work that takes place across Hertfordshire's early help services. This year's awards ceremony will be taking place at the South Hill Centre in Hemel Hempstead on Wednesday 12th November - read about the categories and find out how to make a nomination.

Working Together in Early Help events

We are once again running our Autumn Working Together in Early Help learning events across the county, which will have a focus on children and young people’s health and wellbeing. Find out more and book your place.

We hope you enjoy this edition of Families First News and please encourage your teams to sign up to receive their own copy!  Also, don't forget to take a look through our Learning and Development articles to see what is available for you and your teams.  Don't forget to check the local news pages and vacancies page, and feel free to forward any information on to colleagues.

As always, please do let us have your comments and suggestions for what you would like included in future editions by emailing familiesfirst.support@hertfordshire.gov.uk.

Kind regards

The Development Team
